Fees and Charges

Sawing is done by the hour at a rate of $60 per hour.  Billable time begins when I arrive at your site and ends when the last piece of lumber comes off the mill.  I do not charge for lunch breaks or lost time due to mechanical breakdowns.  Blade changes due to dull or broken blades are a normal part of sawmilling and are considered billable time.

Other charges:
  • $10-$25 for any blade dulled or ruined by hitting foreign objects in your logs. A foreign object is anything that is not wood, most commonly nails
  • $30 per hour for moving logs or other prep work
  • mill delivery:  $1.50 per mile one way  from my location to yours, first 30 miles at no charge
  • travel charge for multi-day jobs:  $0.75 per mile one way, first 30 miles at no charge
  • $180 minimum milling fee (up to 3 hours sawing) for jobs 30 miles or less from my location, $240 (up to 4 hours sawing) minimum fee for jobs farther than 30 miles
  • I do not charge a setup fee

***Fees and charges are subject to change without notice.  Please call or email for current pricing.**
