Fees and Charges
Sawing is done by the hour at a rate of $65 per hour. Billable time begins when I arrive at your site and ends when the last piece of lumber comes off the mill. I do not charge for lunch breaks or lost time due to mechanical breakdowns. Blade changes due to dull or broken blades are a normal part of sawmilling and are considered billable time.
Other charges:
- $10-$25 for any blade dulled or ruined by hitting foreign objects in your logs. A foreign object is anything that is not wood, most commonly nails
- $30 per hour for moving logs or other prep work
- mill delivery: $2 per mile one way from my location to yours, first 30 miles at no charge
- travel charge for multi-day jobs: $1 per mile one way, first 30 miles at no charge
- $195 minimum milling fee (up to 3 hours sawing) for jobs 30 miles or less from my location, $260 (up to 4 hours sawing) minimum fee for jobs farther than 30 miles
- I do not charge a setup fee
